Annalynne and Ben's Wedding
Here's a nice assortment of images from all throughout Annalynne and Ben's big day. This wedding had probably some of the best interactive dancing pictures I've taken in quite a while....it was such great fun...and I almost got trampled on during one dance, but it was worth it because I got the images!!
Melanie and Craig's Wedding
What a great wedding!! It was probably the worst weather we had this year, with very sticky humidity, and a thunderstorm or two that rattled through the area during the reception, but it didn't stop anyone from having a fantastic time!

Julia and Dan's Wedding
This was a fun wedding for me, as I had photographed Julia's senior portraits a few years back, as well has her brother's senior portraits...and it was great fun to be asked back to photograph such an important and special day in her life!
Jen and Ed's Wedding on the Lake
It was a road trip for us, but it was very much worth the traveling. Jen and Ed had a wonderful day for a wedding, and we took a ton of images to remember it by...even heading out to the pier, close to midnight, as all the days festivities were wrapping up.

Janine and Kevin's Wedding
Up from Baltimore, Janine and Kevin had a great PSU wedding. The were married at the Spiritual Center on Campus, and their reception was at the Nittany Lion Inn...and then an after-party in downtown State College.

Here's a sampling of images from Kristi and Chris' wedding this past fall, at PSU's Eisenhower Chapel and the Penn Stater Hotel. Evening images were taken in downtown State College.
Jenna and Jared
Another engagement session down at Talleyrand Park, in Bellefonte, PA...this time for Jenna and Jared.

Annalynne and Ben's Engagement Session
What a great session we had for Annalynne and Ben, down in Washington DC. Andy and I had just photographed a wedding in Baltimore, the day before, and that morning we did an engagement session, as in Baltimore....so suffice it to say, we were a bit toasted out before we even took our first pictures...but through it all, and some major parking adventures in our nations Capitol, we survived, and got some stellar shots.
Did I mention that I had broke a toe just three days before this session, and walked nearly the entire way from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial...but it was so worth it!!

Sisters
Here's the long awaited montage for the Lope Sisters. This session was nearly two years in the making...from floating the idea out there, to the actual session. Thankfully, not only did our schedules match up, but their parents were out for the night, so they never knew that we did this session until they were surprised on Christmas morning. I still can't believe that we were able to keep this all a secret for nearly five months!

Ashley and Jason
Such a fun engagement session! Ashley is the third of three siblings that I will have photographed weddings for...it's so cool to not only be asked back by the same family, but now for a third time! Can't wait for the wedding this October...should be a great time!
Megan's 1yr old session
Little Miss Megan is already 1 year old!! yikes!!! This one a great session we did for her, and her Mom and Dad snuck into a few of the pictures as well...what are ya gonna do?
Aimee's Senior Portrait Session
Aimee was such a fun student to photograph...very energetic, yet she could also work the serious poses...she really kept me on my toes, because you never knew what to expect next!
Chris' Senior Portrait Montage
I can't remember how many sessions Chris sat in on...four or five? ;) I know we did one in the fall, and one in the spring, and he also came to both of our special sessions that we do that's open to all of our Meadow Lane Seniors...maybe it was four...
Carly's Senior Portrait Session
Here's a "best of" selection from Carly's senior portrait session! Enjoy!
Bekah
Bekah can't do a session without taking 500 images...so we had to do two montages...and here is the one with all the fun/crazy/silly pictures from her session
Emma's Senior Portrait Montage 2
Here's another montage from Emma's senior portrait session...this one has more of the fun and zany pictures from her sitting.
Emma's Senior Portrait Montage
Here are some of the more "edgier" pictures from Emma's senior portrait session....enjoy!

Morgan - 87 Octane
I had some fun with this video, from Morgan's session this past fall.
We had a lot of "edgy/attitude" pictures from the session, so I thought I'd match it up with a harder edged song (which I never thought I'd ever use for a montage) and we came up with the video for the song "87 Octane"...enjoy!
Morgan - Shine Shine Shine!
Here's a fun little video that we did for Morgan Higgins, daughter of one of my childhood friends, Margaret (Arnold) Higgins.
We had a great time at Talleyrand Park and, later, here at the studio...and Morgan was awesome in her first full blown photo shoot...but really now...would you expect anything less from a Higgins?
One Heart
Here is a very special wedding video montage, for Meredith and Matt LeRoy. Meredith's sister, Margaret, wrote the song "One Heart" just for the wedding, and it was performed during the ceremony by Margaret and her younger sister Ronnie. I don't think there was a dry eye in the entire church during the performance, and it was a moment I'll remember for quite a long time.
Guys and Dolls
Here's the title song from the show "Guys and Dolls", performed by the State High Thespians
Take Back Your Mink
A great ensemble number featuring the Hot Box Girls, from State High's 2010 Spring Musical, "Guys and Dolls"
Sue Me
From the 2010 State High Spring musical, Rebekah Sharp (Adelaide) and Russell Jordan Poole (Nathan) sing "Sue Me"....which is also a personal favorite of mine from this show.
Luck Be A Lady Tonight
Sam Heppelmann sings his characters signature song "Luck Be A Lady Tonight" from the 2010 State High Spring musical, "Guys and Dolls" Sam would go on to win a runner-up award for this role, at the 2010 Isaac Awards.
If I Were A Bell
From the 2010 State High Spring Musical "Guys and Dolls", here's Emily Risley (Sarah) and Sam Heppelmann (Sky) performing "If I Were A Bell"
Adelaide's Lament
One of the things I really look forward to every year, are the spring musicals that the local schools in our area stage. The level of talent, both on stage and in the orchestra, never ceases to amaze me. One of the amazing things to me is that the quality of the shows seem to increase year after year, even though many times the core of the previous years cast may graduate or move on to a new school.
One of the nicest benefits that come from this type of photography are the friendships I've made through the years, with the kids that I've photographed. They truly do have a way of keeping my heart and mind youthful, and their acceptance of the "old guy with all the cameras", through the years, has been wonderful.
Here's the first of a few videos that I'm going to post from State High's musical "Guys and Dolls" This video features Rebekah Sharp, in the role of Adelaide, as she laments her relationship with her longtime finance, Nathan, and the ill effects it seems to have on her health.
Bekah won the 2010 Isaac Award for "Best Actress" for this role, and this was her signature song from the show...enjoy!!
Brown Eyes Staring
The Seen, from the 2010 Arts Festival gig at Chronic Town, performing "Brown Eyes Staring", off of their 2010 album "3 Days in June"
King Fool
Some of you may know this, but way back when I was in High School (and we're talking the early 80's here) one of the very first gigs I ever had was photographing my buddy Doug's band, The Seen, at our local Arts Festival. To this day, it is still one of the coolest gigs I've ever photographed...partly because of it being the first, but mainly because for a hour or so of my life, I was "with the band", which was, and still is, very cool.
Here are some images that were taken during the rehearsals for their second album "3 Days in June", which was released this past summer. I was even able to drag Andy along for the fun, and he got some stellar images, as well.
And this summer, if everything falls into place, there will be a concert at the Arts Fest to celebrate the 30th anniversary of that gig way back in 1981. I'm really hoping that this happens, and that I can be a small part of it!
So enjoy "King Fool", by The Seen, from their album "3 Days in June"
